PARADISE NAUTITECH 40′
Overview
Seaforth is delighted to present ‘Paradise’ – a 2018 Nautitech Open 40 by Nautitech catamarans with three double cabins with 2 heads and showers.
Paradise comes complete with a bimini over each helm position for shade from the sun. The Nautitech Open 40 has an innovative design that brings comfortable living and excellent performance together.
As well as the Sail magazine best boat award in 2016, the Nautitech Open 40 was also named Cruising World best multihull cruiser for 2016.
The saloon opens seamlessly into the cockpit, providing a huge living area whether under sail or at anchor. A hard bimini covers the cockpit, and individual biminis cover each helm position. Sailing performance is enhanced by:
- High aspect rudders and high aspect sails
- Self-tacking jib
- A draft of 4ft 5″ – deep enough to help you point at 40 degrees apparent, and outpoint any other cruising cat out there, and get you upwind with the monohulls…..but shallow enough to access all the anchorages you could wish
You get all the fun of a fast, close winded cat, comfortably sailed by two people, but with the living-space you would expect in a 45 footer!
The Open 40 seats eight people with ease at the cockpit table, and you can enjoy panoramic views throughout the cockpit and saloon.
A cruising cat has always been a great boat to charter; the Nautitech Open 40 adds the essential ingredient of simple, spectacular sailing as standard.
When comparing a typical coach roof helm position versus the Open 40 outboard helm position, the following should be considered: With twin helms (with a bimini over both port and starboard helms), you are driving the boat from a position where you have good visibility forward and aft, and you are able to see all four corners of the boat.
The “Open” 40 name relates to the Voisard- Lombard vision of a sailing/living space unlike any other. The saloon has a aft facing galley, fridge, and a saloon integrated navigation nook to seat 4. Two large coach roof hatches provide ventilation at anchor (along with two fans).
